FAQ's
What are your office hours?
- Please click on my scheduler
here to view my office hours and to be taken to my online
client scheduler.
How much experience do you have?
- I have provided individual, marriage, family, and group
counseling since 1997. I started at a counseling center,
and have been in private practice since 2003. I have an
M.A. in counseling, and am a Licensed Marriage and Family
Therapist.
Do you have any areas that you specialize in?
- These are the areas I specialize in:
Marital issues including communication
skills training, conflict resolution, infidelity restoration,
and enrichment. Family issues including parenting strategies,
developmental challenges, and family growth skills training.
Crisis intervention including substance abuse, domestic
violence, and parenting coordination. Men's issues, including
addictions, anger, and phobias.
How much do your services cost?
- New clients have a 2 hour initial interview that costs $150.
Current clients pay $75/hr for ongoing sessions.
Do you take insurance?
- No, I'm very sorry, but I work on a self-pay basis only
(check, money order, or credit card with a slight convenience fee) to be paid on the day of services. However, if a
superbill (a receipt with a diagnosis code and my license
number) is helpful, I can make that available per request.
Why do you not take individual female clients?
- My perspective is that safety is one of the most important
elements for counselor and client alike. In society today,
my personal opinion is that females enjoy more safety with other
females. However, they also need male advocacy, and that
is something I enjoy providing in the context of marital and
family counseling.
